02 ORBEA WARRANTY

Our continuous daily effort to provide our bicycles at the
highest quality allows us to offer the following warranty
coverage and conditions:
LEGAL GUARANTEE
Orbea offers the original owner of the Orbea bicycle, rig-
id fork or OC component a statutory warranty of 3 years
from the date of purchase of the items, or the period stip-
ulated as the statutory warranty period in the country of
purchase.
This warranty covers all Orbea products against manu-
facturing defects and/or failure to meet the standard and
guarantees the repair or replacement of the defective prod-
uct at no cost to the affected customer. Likewise, this war-
ranty also covers paint, varnish and corrosion defects on
This warranty does not, under any circumstances, cover
damage as a result of inappropriate use, falls or accidents
or the lack of maintenance, as well as the normal wear
and tear of consumable parts, such as, by way of example,
but without limitation: seals, bearings, handlebar tape,
spokes, tyres, saddles, etc.

ORBEA LIFETIME GUARANTEE
In addition to the statutory warranty, Orbea offers the orig-
inal buyer of the bicycle the Orbea lifetime commercial
warranty, which covers the frames and rigid forks that we

This warranty extends the original period of coverage

and rigid forks by one additional year after the end of the

and rigid forks, but not OC components.

WARRANTY ON ELECTRICAL ASSIST

SHIMANO STEPS COMPONENTS
(motor, display, speed sensor, assist level change switch,
switch unit and Di2 wiring) are covered by a 3-year sta-
tutory warranty from the date of purchase of the article
or the bicycle, or the period stipulated as the statutory
warranty period in the country of purchase.
All warranty requests must be handled through Shimano
or through one of the brand's authorised dealers.
EXCLUSIVE ORBEA RS COMPONENTS
Orbea's exclusive RS electrical system components (in-
ternal battery, Range Extender, battery connection cable
harness, motor and charging port) are covered by a 3-year
statutory warranty from the time of purchase of the item
or bicycle, or the period stipulated as the statutory warran-
ty in the country of purchase.
All warranty requests must be processed with Orbea throu-
gh one of our authorised dealers.

These warranties cover all Shimano and Orbea products
against manufacturing defects and/or failure to meet the
standard and guarantee the repair or replacement of the
defective product at no cost to the affected customer.
Under no circumstances does this warranty cover da-
mage resulting from improper use, falls or accidents,
incorrect installation or lack of maintenance or failure to
observe the usage, storage, charging or other instruc-
tions in this manual.
The loss of capacity of the RS batteries (internal battery
and Range Extender) due to natural ageing of the batteries
through use, charging and storage is not covered by the
warranty conditions.
WARR ANTY C LAIM S P ROC ESS
All warranty claims must be processed through an autho-
rised Orbea dealer, who will perform the initial diagnosis
and send Orbea, Shimano or the manufacturer of the com-
ponent subject to the claim all the necessary documenta-
tion for a full diagnosis of the claim in question.
The dealer will inform the owner about the status of the
process and the decision made on the warranty claim by
Orbea, Shimano or the manufacturer of the component
in question.
WARRANTY CLAIMS AND REPAIRS OF COMPONENTS
OF THE ELECTRICAL ASSIST SYSTEM
