Connecting a User Interface Device, First Start

Safety-related aspects must be considered when planning and designing the
application and performing the hazard & risk assessment for completed machinery.

Do not place devices (e.g., laptop) in the hazardous zone of the robot.

Register to Franka World – https://franka.world/ – to keep your system up
to date with the latest software, explore and purchase a steadily growing
portfolio of products, and access documentation, tutorials, code, and tools.
Configuring the system
Precondition:
• Access to a browser, e.g., Chrome, Chromium, or Firefox.
Procedure:
• To start the initial configuration, connect the interface device to the X5
connector on the Arm base via Ethernet cable (not included).
• Connect (optional) the Control to the network via ethernet cable (not included).
• Go to your preferred web browser.
Enter the following URL: robot.franka.de
•
• The First Start page will appear.
• From here, the product manual can be accessed, even offline.
Before continuing to work with the robot,
read the product manual carefully.
• Go through the steps of the First Start configuration, as described in
the chapter "Operation" of the product manual.
• After rebooting the system and creating an administrator role, Desk is
displayed in the web browser. The status lights will glow solid blue.
• Relevant safety settings are necessary for unrestricted operation. Follow
required steps, as described in chapter "Watchman" of the product manual.
