TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem
Router does not
work.
The bit cannot
be inserted or
secured in collet.
Cutter binds,
jams, or burns
the wood.
The surface of
the workpiece is
not smooth after
cutting.
Cause
1. Battery pack charge is
depleted.
2. Battery pack is not installed
properly.
3. The battery is overheated.
4. The tool is overheated.
1. The bit shank diameter is
wrong.

2. Dull cutter bit.

2. Routing at an inappropriate
speed for the bit or
workpiece.
Remedy
1. Charge the battery pack.
2. Confirm that the battery pack is
inserted and secured to the router.
3. Cool the battery pack under airflow.
4. Allow the tool to cool down.
1. Use a bit with 1/4" shank. Refer
to chapter "INSTALLING AND
REMOVING BITS".
