3.4. SELECTION OF TOOTH SHAPE AND SIZE

The tooth shape and size selection is determined with the COMPONEER Contour Guide: a total of 36 differ-
ent shapes are available, consisting of four maxillary front sets and two mandibular front sets.
The applicable shape of the COMPONEER Contour Guide is placed over the tooth that is to be restored and
the blue-transparent shade enables optimum contrast on the tooth.

COMPONEER BRILLIANT can also be placed temporarily on the teeth fixed with uncured composite to as-
sess where and how much customisation the COMPONEER BRILLIANT will require. COMPONEER BRILLIANT
placed in the mouth for fitting must be decontaminated afterwards by wiping with 70% ethanol solution
(alcohol). Any required grinding corrections can be done at the same time.
The index below offers another option for selecting the shape. It lists the complete mass (length, width) of
the available COMPONEER BRILLIANT. The mass can be measured by a scale on the corresponding teeth.
