4. Getting started

4.1 Cleaning before first use

It is important to do the following before using the breast pump for the first time:
1. Remove the protective cover from the breast shields.
2. Disassemble and clean all parts (except for the tubing) according to the cleaning instruc-
tions – see sections 5.2, 5.3 and 5.4.

4.2 Charging the battery

Charge the battery for two hours.

• You can use your breast pump while charging the battery. However, it will charge in a slower
mode when the pump is running.
1. Connect the power cable to the pump unit.
2. Plug the power cable into the power adaptor.
3. Plug the power adaptor into a wall outlet.
Æ During charging, the status light is pulsing in green color.
Æ When charging is complete, it lights up steadily in green
color.
