INSTALLATION
Identify the axis of rotation "A" of the overhead door and determine a new axis "R" parallel to "A" and passing under it at a distance of
100 mt (fig. 2). Install the operator on the plate "P" by screws "V1" and put it temporarily in the middle of the overhead door aligning the
axis "R", previously determined, to the driving shafts "C" which comes out from the gear motor (fig. 3). Check that the plate "P" is
sufficiently long to have more points of support on the door, otherwise contact the supplier and ask for a longer plate again. Take away
the operator and fix the plate "P" strongly to the door by a good welding or with screws, so reinstall the operator and fix the screws "V1".
Fix by a good welding the anchorage supports "S" of the telescopic arms on the superior cross brace of the overhead door on the sides of
the door (fig. 5). Check that between the overhead door arms and its fixed sides there are sufficient space for the telescopic arms "B",
otherwise contact the supplier and ask for bowed arms. Install on the supports "S" the telescopic arms "B" using the screws "V2" without
screw it completely to allow the arm "B" (fig. 6) a correct movement. Put the door in its maximum opening and cut the components "Bf"
of the arms "B" so that the final part "Bm" if aligned with the axis "R" put out "Bf" of 100 mm (fig. 8). Close the door and insert the
bushes situated on the end of the pipes "D" in the operator driving shafts "C", so insert the pipes supports "L" more or less in the middle of
pipes (fig. 10). Install the pipes "D" perfectly horizontal and the arms "B" perfectly vertical, draw up the point of contact (on the internal
part of the door) so cut the pipes part exceeding (fig. 11). Fix by a good welding the pipes "D" to the part "Bm" of the arm "B" (fig. 13). Fix
by a good welding or by screws the pipes support "L" at a distance of aprox. 200 mm from the arms "B" and the safety grubs "Gr" on the
pipes bushes "D" (fig. 12).
LATERAL OPERATORS
Identify a the axis of rotation "A" of the overhead door and a new axis "R" parallel to "A" and passing under it at a distance of 100 mm
(fig. 2). Install the operators on the plates "P" by screws "V1" and put them on the right and left sides of the overhead door, aligned the
axis "R" to the driving shafts "C" that cams out from the operators (fig.4). Check that the plates "P" are sufficiently long to have more
points of support on the door, otherwise contact the supplier and ask for longer plates again. Take away the operators and fix the plates
"P" strongly to the door by a good welding or with screws, so reinstall the operators and fix the screws "V1". Fix by a good welding the
anchorage supports "S" of the telescopic arms on the superior cross brace of the overhead door on the sides of the door (fig. 5). Check
that between the overhead door arms and its fixed sides there are sufficient space for the telescopic arms "B", otherwise contact the
supplier and ask for bowed arms. Install on the supports "S" the telescopic arms "B" using the screws "V2" without screw it completely to
allow the arm "B" a correct movement (fig. 6). Put the door in its maximum opening and cut the components "Bf" of the arms "B" so that
the final part "Bm" if aligned with the axis "R" put out "Bf" of 100 mm (fig. 8). Close the door and insert the bushes situated on the end of
the arms "B" in the operator driving shafts "C", so fix the safety grubs "Gr" (fig. 9).
FINAL OPERATIONS (BOTH)
Carry out a manual manoeuvre (see "Emergency or manual manoeuvre") to verify the correct functioning and if necessary re-balance the
door increasing the counterweight aprox. Of 3 kg. For each side. Make the circuitry like in the control panel manual and install the
obligatory safety devices. Insert into the space "H" the bolt "D1" of M4 y fix the protection cover "K" using the longer screw "V4" for the
upper hole and the smaller screw "V5" for the lower hole (pic. 13). Install the handle "MS" and fix it with the supplied screw "VS" (pic. 14).
Teach the people intended for the use of the automation about the controls, safety devices, emergency manoeuvre and dangerousness
deriving from the utilize of the automation. Compile the technical booklet and fulfil the eventual obligations deriving from the
regulations in force.
INSTALLATION OF ELECTRICAL LIMIT SWITCH KIT
List of main components
Release the operator and open completely the door. Untight the screw on the plastic cam and turn it till the switch is engaged. Then
reight the screw. Close now the door and do the same operation with the other cam for the closing position. Put the operator in automatic
version and do a manoeuvre to see whether the switches are properly set. Eventually repeat the setting. We guarantee the correct
functioning of THORX versions only and exclusively if provided by DPLUS and only if combined with the original control panel.
