Seal Indicator Light
1
This light has two uses:
1. Pulsing light indicates Sealing process is engaged.
2. Flashes to indicate error.
Vacuum Indicator Light

This light has two uses:
1. Pulsing Light shows Vacuum and Seal process is engaged.
2. Flashes to indicate error.
Seal Button

This button has three uses:
1. Press to create a seal when making bags from a FoodSaver
2. Press to immediately stop the vacuum process and begin sealing the bag. This prevents crushing
delicate items such as bread, cookies and pastries.
3. Press to create a seal on multilayer film bags (such as a potato chip bag) to keep food sealed
airtight.
Vacuum + Seal Button

This button has two uses:
1. Press to vacuum seal food airtight. Appliance shuts off automatically.
2. Press to pause vacuum process at any point.
Handheld

This handheld has 3 uses:
1. Leave Handheld docked in the appliance to vacuum + seal.
2. Remove Handheld from appliance and vacuum FoodSaver zipper bags, reusable bags, containers,
jar sealer, and bottle stopper. If fully charged, the handheld can vacuum up to 35 quart zipper
bags and run 4 marinate cycles on the 10-cup container. Hold handheld upright throughout the
entire handheld cycle when using the reservoir with the zipper bags and reusable bags to ensure
contact with the valve.
3. Remove Handheld from appliance and use the marinate function with the FoodSaver Preserve and
Marinate containers. Hold handheld upright applying downward pressure throughout the entire
vacuum cycle when using the reservoir.
GREEN = the appliance is ON and ready to vacuum seal
PULSING GREEN LIGHT = the appliance is working
OFF = the vacuum sealing cycle is complete
*The light will turn back to GREEN when it is ready for a new vacuum sealing cycle
