Pump System Functions
This section describes how to set up the pump and use system functions and displays . Pump
system controls are located on the front of the device .
6.1

Pump Setup (Start/Stop)

1 . Turn on the Main power switch (Figure 2, Item 14) . The Joint-to-Pump Elevation icon
appears on the display .

2 . Set the Joint-to-Pump Elevation (See "6 .1 .1, Setting the Joint-to-Pump Elevation") .
3 . Press the RUN/STOP pad . The Joint Pressure Estimation and Control (JPEC) set-point
pressure appears .

4 . Set the Joint Pressure Estimation and Control (JPEC) set-point (see "6 .1 .2 Selecting Set-
point Pressure for Joint Pressure Estimation and Control (JPEC)" .

5 . Press the RUN/STOP pad . The pump is now started and using Joint Pressure Estimation
and Control (JPEC) .

6.1.1 Setting the Joint-to-Pump Elevation

The Joint Pressure Estimation and Control (JPEC) function requires a joint-to-pump elevation
value to determine estimated joint pressure . The joint-to-pump elevation setting (at startup)
must be adjusted if it does not match the actual height of the joint relative to the fill chamber .
