We appreciate your deference to our brand and we hope the welding screen you have just purchased will be of
great use to you. This instruction manual contains the necessary warnings for correct use within the maximum
safety conditions for the operator. SOLTER welding filters must be used by expert personnel who know and
understand the risks involved in using them. In case of misunderstanding or doubts about this manual, please
contact us. Handling the weld filter carries a significant risk of injury. Please refrain from doing any
manipulation on the filter or helmet. Only technically trained personnel can do it.
SOLTER Welding, SL declines all responsibility for negligent practices in use and / or handling. This manual
should be attached and kept with the filter model purchased. These filters are designed and approved in
accordance with European Standard EN 379.
It is the responsibility of the people who use and repair them that the product does not fail to meet the
requirements of the aforementioned standards.
PRECAUTIONS
● Never place the helmet on a hot surface.
● Use only at temperature: -5°C to +55°C (23°F-131°F).
● Do not immerse the filter in water and protect it from contact with liquids and dirt.
● Material that may come into contact with the user's skin may cause an allergic reaction.
● Any welding helmet worn over standard ophthalmic glasses can transmit impact, thus creating a hazard
to wearers in some circumstances.
● This product cannot be used for overhead welding or cutting. If this product is used for overhead
welding or cutting operations, the bead of molten metal can burn the helmet and injure the welder.
● The eye protector should only be used against high speed particles at room temperature.
● The automatic welding filter should always be used with a backup eyepiece.
● Unauthorized modifications and replacement parts will void the warranty and expose the operator to
the risk of personal injury.
● Some auto-darkening welding helmets are not suitable for laser welding or welding processes that
require shade 14 or higher.
● If the auto-darkening filter does not darken when the arc is struck, stop welding immediately and
inspect the filter and its battery. Change if necessary.
● Do not use abrasive cleaning solvents or detergents on the filter screen or helmet components.
● We recommend a period of use of 4 years. The period depends on several factors, such as the way of
use, cleaning, storage and maintenance. Frequent inspections and replacement in case of damage are
recommended.
● Always wear safety glasses or goggles under the welding helmet and protective clothing to protect your
skin from radiation, burns and spatter.
● Protectors that have been subject to impact should not be used, should be discarded and replaced.r.
● Protection marked in accordance with this standard is provided only when all lenses and retaining
components are installed in accordance with the listing or other manufacturer's instructions.
● This device does not protect against physical or chemical hazards.
● If the hull, filter or cover plate is damaged in any way, it must be replaced immediately.
● Replace device after mechanical impact.
● A visual inspection is necessary before each use.
● Not suitable for driving and road use.
