Spill Shelf
To Use the Dispenser
Select CUBED ICE I_}, CRUSHEDICE _,l
or WATER_.-J.
Press tile glass gentl} against the top of the
dispenser cradle.
The spill shelf is not selfkh'aining. To
reduce _ater spotting, the shelf and its
grille shotdd be cleaned regularly.
If no water is dispensed when the refr/_Teratoris
first insta/led, there may be air in the water/ine
system. Press the dispenser arm for at least two
minutes to remove trapped air from the water
/ine and to fill the water system. Toflush out
impurities in the water/ine, throw away the first
six glassfuls of water.
CAUTION: Never put hbgers or any other
objects into the ice crusher discharge opembg.
Locking the Dispenser
Press the LOCK CONTROL

This pad turns tile night
light in tile dispenser
on
and off. Tile light also

pressed. If this light
burns out, it sho/fld be
replaced with a 6 watt
12 V maximum bulb.
When you need ice
ill a hurry, press this
pad to speed up ice
I)mduction. This will
increase ice production
for the foil owing
48 hom_ or until you
press the pad again,
To set tile alarm, press
this pad until tile
indicator light comes
on. This alaml will
sound if either door is
open tk)r more than
24minutes, Tile light
goes out and tile
beeping stops when
you close tile dog1:
Important Facts About Your Dispenser
_: Do not add ice ti'om trays or bags to
tile storage
drawe_: It may not crush
or
dispense well.
::Ji:: Avoid overfilling glass with ice and use
_ff narrow glasses. Backed-up ice can jam
tile chute
or cause tile door in tile chute
to fl'eeze shut. If ice is blocking tile
chute, poke it through with a wooden
spoon.
::Ji:: Beverages and foods should not be
quick-chilled in tile ice storage drawe_:
Cans, bottles or tood packages in tile
storage drawer may cause tile icemaker
or a/iger to jalll.
_: To kee I) dispensed ice fl'om missing
tile glass, put tile glass close to, but not
touching, tile dispenser opening.
_: Some crushed ice may be dispensed even
though you selected
CUBED ICE.
This
happens occasionally when a few cubes
acddentally get directed to the crushe_:
::Ji:: _Mter crushed ice is dispensed, some
water may drip fl'om tile chute.
::Ji:: Sometimes a small too/rod of snow will
timn on tile door in tile ice chute. This
condition is nomlal and usually occm_
when vou have dispensed crushed ice
repeatedly. Tile snow will eventually
evapoi'ilte.
