- METRA
is a control device for sliding systems, garage door and barriers for 110/230 Vac motors.
It works in different modes, with limit switches, with encoder, in mixed mode and managing time of race. METRA can also set the torque
either at normal speed (Trimmer T1) or during the slowing down (Trimmer T2). The programming of the race and the transmitters are
automatic, to boost the operation of the automation. When used with the Encoder (Dip-Switch 8 ON), in the event of an obstacle the
stroke is stopped and reversed. Without the encoder (Dip-Switch 8 OFF) there won't be the inversion but only stop. The control of the
torque is made with the trimmers T1 and T2. It is always suggested the use of safety devices such as potocells and edges to ensure
automations of disadvantages.
REMOTE CONTROLS PROGRAMMING
The panel can handle up to 254 fixed or rolling code transimitters. The two systems can not be operated simultaneously, the first
programmed remote control defines the operating mode.
To program them, press button P1 for 2 sec., LED L2 lights up, press the button on the remote control and LED L2 will flash twice for
successful storage. After 6 sec. The panel automatically exits programming.
PEDESTRIAN OPENING PROGRAMMING (with remote control)
Press the P1 button for 2 sec., Release it and press again for 1 sec. The L2 led starts flashing. Press the button on the remote control, the
LED L2 will flash quickly 2 times for successful storage. After 6 sec. The panel automatically exits programming. The running time of the
pedestrian crossing is 8 seconds.
ERASING MEMORY CODES
Press and hold the P1 button for 6sec, when you release it, LED L2 will blink rapidly for successful storage.
PROGRAMMING WITH SLOWING DOWN (DIP SWICHT 7 ON)
Programming begins with closed gate, the first movement is an opening, otherwise reverse direction with the Dip-Switch 4.
To enter the programming of the race, press the P2 key for 2sec, the led L3 will flash. Give a first pulse with the Start (terminals 1-2) or
with a remote control already memorized. The gate opens, give a second impulse where you want to start the opening slowdown. The
gate stops the maneuver on the limit switch. If you use an automation without a FC, give another impulse to stop the work.
To set the automatic switch-off (Dip-Switch 2 ON), when the gate reaches the opening limit switch it begins counting for the pause time,
when it reaches the desired pause time give a third pulse and the gate begins to close. Give a fourth impulse where you want to start the
slowdown in closing. The gate stops at the closing limit switch and LED L3 lights off to indicate that programming is complete. If you are
using an automation without FC, or if you have an encoder on the garage door, give another impulse to stop the work. After 6 sec. The
panel automatically exits the programming.
PROGRAMMING WITHOUT SLOWING DOWN (DIP-SWICHT 7 OFF)
Programming begins with closed gate, the first movement is an opening, otherwise reverse direction with the Dip-Switch 4.
Set DIP-SWICHT 7 OFF to disable slowing down. Follow the procedure described above (Programming with slowdown) without giving the
2nd pulse for the elimination of the opening slow-down and the 4th pulse for the elimination of the closing slowdown.
SAFETY DEVICES OPERATION - INPUT PH0 (5-6), PH2 (4-6), STOP (6-7)
PH2 (input 4-6) intervenes in both directions, PH0 (input 5-6) only in closing. The intervention of the safety devices causes the
immediate stop of the movement, with Dip-Switch 5 ON during the closingthere will also be an inversion for 2 sec.
STOP (6-7) intervenes only when closing. The opening of this contact stops immediatly the movement.

SENSITIVITY CHANGING
CHANGE OF SENSITIVITY BASED ON THE COUPLE:
More torque = Less sensitivity
Less torque = More sensitivity
Parameters are set via TRIMMER T1 and T2.
