Tools Required: Head locking tool - 1/8 in. dia. Rod, 14.5 mm (9/16 in.) wrench
Parts Required: ECHO 2mm (0.080 on.) Nylon Trimmer Line 4.6m (15 feet)
CAUTION
Wear Gloves or personal injury may result:
• Cutoff knife is sharp.
• Gearcase and surrounding area may be hot.
REMOVAL OF RAPID LOADER
1. Align locating hole in upper plate with hole in gear housing and insert
locking tool (A).
2. Remove 3/8-24 locknut (E) using 14.5 mm (9/16 in.) wrench. Remove
small washer (D) , line head (C), and washer (B).
IMPORTANT
Remember to remove the locking tool.
REMOVAL OF TAP TO ADVANCE NYLON LINE HEAD
NOTE
Do not disassemble nylon line head.
1. Align locating hole in upper plate with hole in gear housing and insert
head locking tool (A).
2. Remove line head (F) by turning it counter clockwise until head is
completely off of shaft.
IMPORTANT
Remember to remove the locking tool.
INSTALL NYLON LINE HEAD
1. Align locating hole in upper plate with hole in gear housing.
2. Insert locking tool (A) and thread cutting attachment onto shaft
clockwise until head is tight.
IMPORTANT
Remember to remove the locking tool.
TO ADVANCE LINE
Tip:
To advance trimmer line, tap trimmer head against the ground while the
head is turning at normal operating speed.
