14 - ADD USER
The user inclusion screen has the ID and NAME customization options and different ways of enabling and restricting
access.
14.1 - ID
The ID is a numeric value, up to 12 digits, that is associated with the user record and can be edited to a value that
is easy to remember. It is worth noting that the ID number is always requested when attempting to access only with
PASSWORD or 1:1 fingerprint validation. This allows even if two users register the same password the ID will always
be different, noting that no two records can have the same ID.
14.2 - NAME
This 10 character field can be used to record the name or initials for presentation during validation. Inserting the name
is especially interesting for report generation.
14.3 - FINGERPRINT 1
Allows the sensor to capture the image of the fingerprint and convert it to the template format, which consists of
generating a map with the geometric coordinates and encoding the shapes and directions of the minutiae that make
up the fingerprint, allowing comparison with others in the database. It is important to note that the image is stored in
the equipment and is discarded after the template is created.
The fingerprint capture process is performed in two steps, and it is important to follow the prompts: "place the fin-
ger", "remove the finger" and "place the finger back" on the sensor. While the finger is on the sensor, the internal
routine tries to capture the best quality image and it is important to keep the finger on the sensor until the message
changes or until the beep (1 beep) is emitted.
In case of an error in the capture or a large difference between the two captures, the process is restarted. At the end
of the successful capture, the screen returns to the add user menu.
14.4 - FINGERPRINT 2
The enrollment process of the second fingerprint is identical to that of the first. The use of two fingerprints is optional
and by default is disabled in the OPTIONS menu in the "digital second" box. When this option is disabled, the back-
ground color of the "FINGERPRINT 2" button is darkened and disabled.
