SERVICE KIT INSTRUCTIONS

Valve
Remove the Existing Flapper
IMPORTANT! For K-3386 toilets only.
Turn off the water supply.
Flush the toilet to drain the toilet tank.
Note the S-hook location on the current flapper chain as well as the flapper
bar mounting groove location on the flush valve. Disconnect the S-hook
from the trip arm.
Remove and discard the existing flapper.
Install the New Flapper
Locate the same groove on the back of the flush valve used by the original
flapper. With the prongs on the bar pointed toward the back of the flush
valve, slide the pivot rod onto the valve.
Center the bar on the valve and rotate it so the prongs are pointing upward.
One at a time, attach the flapper arms to the ends of the bar. Flapper should
move up and down freely on the flush valve body.
Install the S-hook to the flapper chain at the same location as the original
flapper and attach the S-hook to the trip arm.
Turn on the water supply.
Flush the toilet several times to verify proper operation. Make any
adjustments as needed.
