Mono Volume Control
(Indoor type)
MODEL: IC-901WH

For use with NuTone IS-903, IS-905, IS-908, IS-920
or IS-921 Music Distribution Speakers.
•
Use one (1) Volume Control per speaker
LOCATION
1. Locate the volume control near the speaker which it
will control.
2. Locate the volume control where it can be easily
operated 50" to 60" above the floor is satisfactory.
INSTALLATION
Remove the plastic knob from the panel carefully. Make
the electrical connection as described in Figure 1.
Install one pair of wires
(NuTone IW-2) from a Music
Distribution speaker (NuTone
IS-903 or IS-905) to the indoor
volume control location as shown.
Use one pair of wires from the
volume control to the Intercom
Master Station.
Refer to Figure 2. Mount the
inner metal plate to the wall or the
gang box using the two screws
provided. Using the other two
screws, mount the plastic cover.
Secure the knob on the
potentiometer shaft. Check for
correct positioning of the knob.
With music playing through the
associated speaker, rotate the
volume control knob on the panel
clockwise. The volume should be
minimum when the line on the knob
is at lower left of the panel and at
lower right when at maximum level.
CAUTION: This is a MONO
volume control and should be
used only with NuTone Radio
Intercom System such as
IM-4406. Do not use this volume
control with any other audio
amplifier since it may burn out
causing serious damage.
