NOTE - For Pick-up only, the vehicle this accessory is being
installed in MUST NOT HAVE the Power Take Off (PTO) option.
The heated seat switches are located in the same spot in the
instrument panel as the switch for (PTO).
Kit Contents:
• Seat Heat Pads (4) - Driver's and Passenger's - Seat
Cushion and Seat Back Pads - (2) Each
• Electronic Module
• Accessory Wire Harness Kit - Consisting of:
Large Plastic Bag With:
• Wire Harness Assembly Consisting of Three Pieces:
• Body Harness Jumper Connected To:
• Driver's Seat Harness
• Passenger's Seat Harness
NOTE - Disconnect all three harnesses (inline connectors) prior to
assembly to the vehicle.
Smaller Bag Inside Larger Bag With:
• (25) Wire Ties
• (2) Loose Connectors (Pick-up Only)
• Nuts/Bolts - (2) Each for Mounting Module Underneath
Driver's Seat
• Door Handle Assemblies (2) (SUV and Avalanche Only)
• Switches (2) (Pick-up Only)
• Switch Mounting Plate (Pick-up Only)
Tools Required:
Flat-Blade Screw Driver
Wire Harness Terminal Picks - Reference #12094429 and
12094430
Socket Wrench - 10mm, 11mm, 15mm Socket Sizes and
Torx-Head 10mm Hand Wrench
Plastic Interior Trim Removal Tool
Scan Tool with Candi Module
Service Programming System (SPS - TIS 2000 or Equivalent)
Installation Procedure:
1. Disconnect battery negative cable - refer to Service Procedure
1702968.
Driver's Seat Cushion Heat Pad Installation:
2. Remove driver's seat - refer to Service Procedure 1683103.

3. Unhook cushion trim cover from seat frame and remove
seat cushion/trim cover assembly from seat frame - refer to
Service Procedure 1683127.
4. Unhook trim cover from cushion foam clips using a flat
blade screwdriver and peal back to expose cushion foam -
see Figures 1 and 2.
NOTE: Only unhook clips on one side and middle.

5. Install cushion heat pad - remove front and rear cushion
pad sticky tape - see Figures 3 and 4.

6. Reinstall trim cover to seat cushion.
Driver's Seat Back Cushion Heat Pad Installation:
7. Remove seat back cushion finish panel and unhook seat
back cushion trim cover from seat back frame - refer to
Service Procedure 1683125.
NOTE: Only unhook bottom and side seat back cushion
trim attachments, leaving the seat back cushion trim
cover attached to the top of the seat.
8. Unhook seat back cushion trim cover from foam (similar to
above procedure for seat cushion) and peal back seat
cushion trim cover towards head restraint - see Figure 5.
