Once the polymerisation program is completed, the
R-080404 / R-080406 disconnects automatically. If
alarm is activated, it will sound at the end of the pro-
gram (look at the Alarm section). To remove the muf-
fles, open the cover carefully, as steam pouring out
from the tank could cause burns. Use long gauntlets
and a face-mask, and remove muffles using muffle
tongs. Close over the cover.
If there is a power cut, the unit retains in its memory
the parameters of the step in progress, and when
power is restored the program will continue from the
point at which it stopped. If the switch is turned off
before the program is completed, the furnace takes
this as a power cut.
To run another program, first you must stop the unit
by keep pressing the START/STOP
Turn the main switch off to disconnect the unit from
the power supply.
Disconnect the unit via main switch (C). The fan re-
mains on until switch is disconnected to prevent the
control module from overheating.

DISPLAY MESSAGES

The unit can show some messages in display, to make
the use easier:
It means that the delayed start time is counting
dEL
down. Lower display shows the remaining hours
for the start.
It means that the thermal probe is damaged or
tH1
unplugged. Replace the thermal probe.
It means that the triac is damaged. Turn the main
tri
switch off and contact inmediatly to technical
service.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

To obtain long, trouble-free service from the unit, follow
these instructions:
The R-080404 / R-080406 has a circuit breaker that
protects the machine against electric overloads. Once
the problem is solved, press the circuit breaker lo-
cated on the side of the machine (E) to get it into
work again.
• Message "tH1" means that the thermal probe is bro-
ken and must be replaced.
Message "tri" means that the triac is broken and
must be replaced.
The R-080404 / R-080406 has a circuit breaker that
protects the machine against accidental overheating
as it detects excessive temperature and cuts off ma-
10
button.
PRECAUTIONS
chine operation. Once the machine returns to normal
temperature, the security contactor has to be reset. To
access this, proceed as follows:
1.
Take off the lower panel by removing the fasten-
ing screws.
2.
Unscrew and extract the front of the machine
holding the control unit.
3.
Press the contactor (F).
4.
Follow these instructions in reverse order to reas-
semble the unit.
5.
Carry out a test to check operation of the polymer-
iser.
Clean the inside of the tank approximately every 20
hours, by heating the water to 75 ºC, then emptying
the tank through the drainage tap at the back.
Unplug the polymeriser and clean the inside of the
tank with a fine scourer moistened in soapy water,
taking care not to damage the heating element or
temperature probe. Special products for cleaning po-
lymerisers may also be used. Rinse the inside of the
tank with plenty of water and then close the drainage
tap.
At intervals which will depend on how hard the water
is, clean away any limescale which may have been
deposited on the shower nozzles or electric heating
element, using a scale remover. Anti-limescale prod-
ucts may also be used.
To clean the outside housing of the unit use a cloth
moistened in soapy water. Do not use solvents or
other inflammable products.
To get the best results from the polymeriser additives
available on the market to dissolve wax may be
added to the water. The manufacturers' recommenda-
tions should always be followed in this case.
After using the polymeriser, remove wax, foam, re-
mains of resin and other particles which may be left
floating on the water.
For
optimum
performance,
MESTRAITUA, S.L. recommends the use of
MESTRA muffles and flanges.
Clean the unit's control panel regularly with a damp
cloth. Always disconnect the machine before doing
this.
Before connecting the unit ensure that the power
supply is 230 V, 50/60 Hz and earthed. It should also
be protected by a thermal magnetic cut-out. Consult
your installer concerning these matters.
Do not allow children or unskilled personnel to han-
dle the unit.
Use long gauntlets and muffle tongs whenever you
put muffles into the tank or take them out.
