4.4 Agua para el generador de vapor El equipo lleva incorporado un depósito con capacidad de unos 2 litros para almacenar el agua que utiliza el generador de vapor. Dado que el sistema de control de nivel de agua del generador de vapor funciona por conductividad, debe utilizarse con una conductividad mínima de 20 microSiemens y sin exceso de cal, para alargar la vida del generador de vapor. Puede obtenerse agua de estas características, directamente de un equipo de agua desmineralizada. Para trabajar en condiciones óptimas utilizar agua destilada y añadir 5 mg/l de Clo- ruro Sódico. .P. 5.2 Colocar el matraz colector El matraz colector debe colocarse con precaución para garantizar que el sistema de paro automático funcione correctamente. La pared del matraz debe estar tocando al detector de nivel. Nota: Para asegurar el funcionamiento del paro automático: Ajustar las patas regulables para que el equipo quede ligeramente levanta- do por la parte delantera. (3) Alarma de exceso de temperatura Este piloto rojo permanece iluminado cuando un exceso de temperatura en el gene- rador de vapor ha disparado el termostato de seguridad. Bloquea la función de destilación. Una vez disparado, se debe dejar enfriar, solucionar la causa que lo ha provocado y rearmar el termostato pulsando el botón central. El termostato de seguridad se encuentra en el cuadro eléctrico. Para acceder a él debe desmontar la tapa derecha del equipo. El disparo del termostato de seguridad es provocado por la falta de agua en el ge- nerador de vapor, probablemente por ausencia de agua en el depósito o por un mal funcionamiento de la bomba de agua. .P. • Fijar el matraz o Erlenmeyer colector en el colgador. La pared del matraz debe apoyarse en la cara frontal del detector de nivel de destilado. Procurar que el extremo de salida del tubo del refrigerante esté sumergido en los 10ml de agua destilada. • Colocar la muestra en el tubo muestra e insertarlo en el destilador. • Pulsar «START». • Cuando se haya obtenido un nivel de destilado cercano al sensor de nivel el equipo detiene la destilación. • Extraer primero el tubo muestra. • Añadir destilado pulsando «ADD» hasta enrasar el matraz colector. .P. • Mantener parte de la solución hidroalcohólica inicial para compararla con el destilado obtenido. • Mantener tapadas las soluciones hidroalcohólicas. • Utilizar sólo material volumétrico certificado. • Trabajar a una temperatura ambiente de 20±3ºC. • Todo el material volumétrico (matraces, alcoholímetro,..) y las soluciones hidroalcohólicas deben atemperarse a 20±0.5ºC durante unas 6h antes de realizar las medidas de %Vol. Ver el capítulo 11 para medir el %Vol con precisión. .P. • Miden temperatura En el primer caso, antes de realizar la medida, el Refractómetro y el liquido destilado deben atemperarse a 20 ±0.5ºC durante unas 4 horas. Para luego realizar la medida con una temperatura ambiente de 20 ±3ºC. En el segundo caso, el Refractómetro además de medir la temperatura tiene un dis- positivo para atemperar la muestra y la zona de lectura. En este caso, antes de leer el índice de refracción, comprobar que la temperatura está dentro del intervalo 20±0.5ºC. Seguir las instrucciones del Refractómetro para la lectura del índice de refracción. Mediante la tabla 2, hallar la correspondencia entre el índice de refracción medido y el GAV. Recuerde comprobar la calibración del Refractómetro. La presencia de metanol en los destilados de vino provoca una disminución en el índice de refracción respecto a una solución hidroalcohólica pura (etanol - agua). Note: It is critical in order that the unit works properly, the hose «Remaining steam» (3) MUST NOT BE IMMERSED under water, or blended or blocked by any reason. 4.4 Water for steam generator The unit includes a 2 litres water reservoir, at the top, to store the water for the steam generator. As the system used to control the level of water on the steam generator works by conductivity, water of at least 20 microSiemens must be used. Water , also, must have a low content of calcium to increase the life of the steam generator. Water with this conductivity could be obtained from a demineralised unit. It inhibits all distiller functions. And cuts the power supply to the heating element. Once it is switched, it must be let to get cool for some minutes. Solved the problem that causes the switching and rearmed the safety thermostat by pushing the central button. The safety thermostat is located on the electrical box, right hand side cover must be removed to get it. • Place the collector flask on the flask holder. The flask wall must be in contact with the sensor face. The end of the tube from the cooler must be immersed under the level of the 10 ml of water. • Place the sample on the distillation tube and insert it on the DE-1626. • Push «START» key. • When the level of distilled obtained reaches the sensor face, the unit will stops distillation automatically. • First of all, remove the distillation tube. • Add distilled drops by pushing «ADD» key until levelling the collector flask. .P. - Página 35 On the second case probably, the refractometer has the capacity to climate the measuring area and the sample at 20ºC. Before reading the refraction index, check that temperature is in 20 ±0.5ºC . Follow the refractometer instructions sheet to read the refraction index. By means of table 2, look for the %Vol by introducing the refraction index. Remember to check the refractometer calibration. The presence of methanol on the distilled produces a lower refraction index in front of a pure hydroalcoholic solution (Ethanol - Water). Check that collector flask is properly placed on his holder (flask wall must be in contact with sensor face).
