The PFS Tel 1 GE was designed to give a protection against overloads, voltage peaks, electromagnetic
interference (EMI) and radio frequency interference (RFI).
It protects your electronic and/or computer appliances from damages caused by accidental
overvoltages, voltage peaks and lightning. A reset circuit breaker protects against overloads and
blowouts. It also protects your phone/fax/modem equipment.
Security
Please read all these instructions before installing the PFS Tel 1 GE. It must be installed only inside a
protected location in which the temperature and humidity do not exceed the limits defined in the
technical characteristics section.
Installation
Plug the PFS Tel 1 GE into a connector with earth (2P+E – 10 A). Plug your equipment to be protected
into the protected outlet.
If the red «Protected» light, on the protection device, is off, do not use the PFS Tel 1 GE.
1) Protected outlet
The protected outlet is used to connect equipment such as a tel/fax/modem, PC, printer, monitor,
scanner or technical household appliance.
2) Active surge protection Led
Red led "Protected" turns on: the protection is effective
Red led "Protected" is off: the protection is not effective.
3) Tel/Fax/Modem protection
The PFS Tel 1 GE is equipped with protection against overvoltages on the telephone/fax/modem line
(1 RJ11 ''IN'' connector + 1 RJ11 ''OUT'' connectors - 6P4C). Use the supplied cable to connect the line
input to the ''IN'' connector and then connect the ''OUT'' connector to your telephone/fax/modem
device.
In case of problem, do not disassemble the PFS Tel 1 GE. There are no reparable parts inside it.
