2. SAFETY AND PREVENTION

It is important to read this manual carefully: doing so will minimise the risks associated
with incautious or improper use of the machines described in this manual.
The user must provide the operator with training on the risks associated with use of the
machines, safety devices and the general accident prevention regulations in force in the
country of use.

2.1. Safety signs (pictograms)

Dangerous situations associated with use of the machines are illustrated by way of the
symbol shown below:
The same symbol is used on the machines itself to highlight potential residual risks that,
despite the adoption of all possible safety standards during the making of the machine,
still exist under certain working conditions.
NOTE: On-machines signs must be kept clean at all times; they must be clearly legible
so that users can identify situations of risk during use as quickly as possible.

2.2. General safety regulations

The personnel shall:
-
always use the personal protection equipment required by law and follow the
instructions given in this manual,
-
observe all information / warning signs regarding machines-relevant dangers,
-
not carry out, on their own initiative, work on the machines that is outside the
scope of their duties,
- inform their superior of any problems or danger situations that may arise.
The machines must only be used for the purpose for which it was designed.
The machines must not be run The machines must not be run with the covers removed:
safety guards/devices must not be removed or disabled.
NOTE: Do not wear loose, flapping clothing as it could be caught up in the
moving parts of the machines. It is important to use suitable clothing. Workers
must not carry secateurs or sharp tools in pockets.
It is forbidden to remain or transit within the machines operating range.

- Before starting the machines make sure all safety devices / covers are in
proper working order.
