ADVERTENCIA

• Always use the trimmer with the guard (protective skirt). The guard is a safety device for the operator. • Always wear sturdy close-toed shoes, long pants, and safety goggles during work. Do not operate the equipment when barefoot or wearing sandals. • Do not lift the trimmer while it is running. If you need to lift it, make sure the nylon line is kept on the opposite side from the operator. (No levante la recortadora mientras está funcionando. • Be careful to avoid injury by the blade used to limit the nylon line, located on the trimmer guard. Only switch on the engine when your hands and feet are safely away from the cutting assembly. • Regularly inspect the power cable. Never splice power cables. Try to trail the power cable behind the trimmer and always on the side where the grass has already been cut. (Inspeccione regularmente el cable de alimentación. • For any maintenance, cleaning, transportation, storage, and/or adjustment, switch off the trimmer's engine, unplug the power cable, and wait for the nylon line to stop completely. To ensure safety, this product must be used with a power source that complies with ANBR5410, which requires a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI), with a current rating of less than 30 mA. MONTAJE DEL EQUIPO

Guard - Fig. 01 (Protección - Fig. 01)

Mount the guard (2) on the body (1) by fitting the three pins on the body into the notches on the guard and attaching it with the three screws (3). (Monte la protección (2) en el cuerpo (1) insertando los tres pines del cuerpo en las muescas de la protección y fijándola con los tres tornillos (3).)

Handle - Fig. 02 (Manija - Fig. 02)

Attach the handle (4) to the grip (5), with its curvature as pictured. Adjust to the desired angle and insert the bolt (6) in the handle (4). Attach the knob (7) on the other side and tighten until secured. The bolt may be fitted on either the left or right side. (Fije la manija (4) a la empuñadura (5), con su curvatura como se muestra en la imagen. Ajuste al ángulo deseado e inserte el perno (6) en la manija (4). Fije la perilla (7) en el otro lado y apriete hasta que esté seguro. El perno se puede colocar en el lado izquierdo o derecho.)

Handle adjustment - Fig. 02 and 03 (Ajuste de la manija - Fig. 02 y 03)

To adjust the position of the handle (4), loosen the knob (7), set to the desired position, and tighten the knob (7) again. (Para ajustar la posición de la manija (4), afloje la perilla (7), ajústela a la posición deseada y apriete la perilla (7) nuevamente.)

Using the equipment without the guard (protective skirt) will void the warranty. (El uso del equipo sin la protección (falda protectora) anulará la garantía.)

FUNCIONAMIENTO Y USO

Before using the equipment, read carefully the user and maintenance manual. (Antes de utilizar el equipo, lea atentamente el manual del usuario y mantenimiento.)
Before turning on the equipment, check if the trimmer's electrical voltage is set in accordance with the local electrical voltage. (Antes de encender el equipo, verifique si el voltaje eléctrico de la recortadora está configurado de acuerdo con el voltaje eléctrico local.)
For your safety and to prevent the electric cable from being disconnected from the plug during its use, bend the cable (1) and pass it through the opening (2), [Fig. 04], then fit it in the clamp (3), [Fig. 05], only then connect the electric cable to the plug of the grass trimmer. (Para su seguridad y para evitar que el cable eléctrico se desconecte del enchufe durante su uso, doble el cable (1) y páselo por la abertura (2), [Fig. 04], luego colóquelo en la abrazadera (3), [Fig. 05], solo entonces conecte el cable eléctrico al enchufe de la recortadora de césped.)

The trimmer must be used with both hands. Secure the grip with one hand and the handle with the other. (La recortadora debe usarse con ambas manos. Asegure la empuñadura con una mano y la manija con la otra.)
Keep the switch pressed down constantly while operating, and avoid oscillations in the rotation of the engine. (Mantenga el interruptor presionado constantemente mientras opera, y evite las oscilaciones en la rotación del motor.)
To turn off the trimmer, just release the switch. (Para apagar la recortadora, simplemente suelte el interruptor.)
A suitable extension cord is fundamental for the safe and efficient use of the equipment. Table 1 presents the recommended size of the extension cord to be used based on its length and the voltage of the electrical network. (Un cable de extensión adecuado es fundamental para el uso seguro y eficiente del equipo. La Tabla 1 presenta el tamaño recomendado del cable de extensión que se utilizará según su longitud y el voltaje de la red eléctrica.)

Use (Uso)
Keep the switch pressed down and lift the trimmer about 3 cm from the ground. In this position move the trimmer slowly from one side to the other to trim the grass. (Mantenga el interruptor presionado y levante la recortadora a unos 3 cm del suelo. En esta posición, mueva la recortadora lentamente de un lado a otro para recortar el césped.)
Never use the trimmer without the guard or if it is damaged, since the guard helps to cool the engine, limits the length of the nylon string and is a safety device for the operator. (Nunca utilice la recortadora sin la protección o si está dañada, ya que la protección ayuda a enfriar el motor, limita la longitud del hilo de nylon y es un dispositivo de seguridad para el operador.)
A 2-minute interval is recommended after 15 minutes of continuous use, to ensure a longer useful life for the engine and avoid an overload. (Se recomienda un intervalo de 2 minutos después de 15 minutos de uso continuo, para garantizar una vida útil más larga para el motor y evitar una sobrecarga.)

This equipment is recommended for occasional (domestic) use for lawns of up to 100 square meters, for outlines, edges and corners. The area may be larger or smaller depending on the equipment's conditions of use: type of grass, height of grass, temperature, humidity, etc. (Este equipo se recomienda para uso ocasional (doméstico) para céspedes de hasta 100 metros cuadrados, para contornos, bordes y esquinas. El área puede ser mayor o menor dependiendo de las condiciones de uso del equipo: tipo de césped, altura del césped, temperatura, humedad, etc.)

Do not overload the trimmer by using on tall grass. If needed, carry out several trims, starting on top and trimming progressively lower. Do not use on humid or wet grass. (No sobrecargue la recortadora usándola en césped alto. Si es necesario, realice varios recortes, comenzando en la parte superior y recortando progresivamente más abajo. No use sobre césped húmedo o mojado.)

MANTENIMIENTO

For any maintenance or monitoring operation, the electric cable must be disconnected from the outlet. (Para cualquier operación de mantenimiento o monitoreo, el cable eléctrico debe desconectarse del tomacorriente.)

Reemplazo del carrete

Keep the spool housing (1) fixed and turn the spool cover (2) in a counterclockwise direction [Fig. 06]. (Mantenga la carcasa del carrete (1) fija y gire la tapa del carrete (2) en sentido antihorario [Fig. 06].)

Remove the used spool (3) and place the new spool, so that the string passes through opening in the spool cover [Fig. 07]. (Retire el carrete usado (3) y coloque el nuevo carrete, de modo que el hilo pase a través de la abertura en la tapa del carrete [Fig. 07].)

Then replace the assembled top cover and spool (4) by pressing it against the spool housing (1), and turning it in a clockwise direction until you hear it click into place [Fig. 08]. Only use nylon string with the recommended diameter of 1.8 mm and length of 8 meters. (Utilice solo hilo de nylon con el diámetro recomendado de 1,8 mm y una longitud de 8 metros.)

The spool can be reloaded, as follows (El carrete se puede volver a cargar, de la siguiente manera)
Fit the string into the spool opening (1) according to figure [Fig. 09]. (Coloque el hilo en la abertura del carrete (1) de acuerdo con la figura [Fig. 09].)

Coil the string in the direction indicated by the arrow on the reel (2), [Fig. 10] as uniformly as possible, respecting the recommended maximum length of 8 meters. (Enrolle el hilo en la dirección indicada por la flecha en el carrete (2), [Fig. 10] de la manera más uniforme posible, respetando la longitud máxima recomendada de 8 metros.)

It is recommended that replacement parts and nylon string spools are of the same Tramontina brand and model. The string used in the spools is specifically for this purpose. While holding down the spool button (1) [Fig. 11] pull the nylon string out to the limiter blade on the guard. Then release the spool button and the nylon string so that the spool may automatically be adjusted to its housing. (Mientras mantiene presionado el botón del carrete (1) [Fig. 11], tire del hilo de nylon hacia la cuchilla limitadora en la protección. Automatic
With the engine in operation, lightly press the spool button down against the ground [Fig. 12,]. The excess string will be cut by the limiter
blade (2), [Fig. 11] when the trimmer is operated. (Con el motor en funcionamiento, presione ligeramente el botón del carrete contra el suelo [Fig. 12,]. El exceso de hilo será cortado por la cuchilla limitadora (2), [Fig. 11] cuando se opere la recortadora.)
